Obituary for Ruth Ann Greenawalt (Peck)

Ruth Ann Peck Greenawalt, 83, of Wattsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7, 2022. She was born in Erie on July 28, 1938 a daughter of the late Bert and Ruth Ada Pierce Peck.

Ruth graduated from Harbor Creek High School and worked at K-Mart. She loved Elvis and was an avid salt and pepper shaker collector. She enjoyed WWE wrestling, reading, and puzzles.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Greenawalt; two twin children in infancy; her granddaughter, Tammy Greenawalt; two sisters, Carolyn Craig and Twila Mae Peck; and two brothers, Bernard and Gilbert Peck.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Horn (Robert) of Edinboro and Chris Gant (Don) of Georgia; six sons, Joe Kujawa (Cathy) of Millcreek, Brian Greenawalt of Wattsburg, Mark Greenawalt (Debra) of Union City, Jamie Greenawalt (Liz McCracken) of Waterford, Shawn Greenawalt of Waterford, and Tom Dinger (Renee) of California; one brother, David Peck, of Ohio; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
