Obituary for Ellen M Ohle (Repp)

Ellen M. Repp Ohle, 96, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Manchester Commons. She was born in Flush, Kansas on February 1, 1922 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna Zink Repp.

Ellen was a charter member of Wayside Presbyterian Church and was an active square dancer and camper for many years and with many clubs, including the Lakewood Lads and Lassies Square Dance Club, Penn Shore Campers and Square Dancers Club, the Dancing Flames, and the Erie Family Campers. In her later years she would meet at Asbury Methodist Church with other senior citizens. She was an avid reader and working with plants and flowers brought her great joy. She also enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Ohle; one brother, Robert Repp; and two sisters, Freda Repp, and Sr. Ann Lorraine of the Sisters of Charity in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Bittner and her husband, Paul, of Erie, and Sheri Meston and her husband, Rick of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren, Heather Lightfoot (Bobby), Lindsey Meston, Richard Meston, Michael Bittner (Sharon), Daniel Bittner (April), and Andrew Bittner (Andrea); six great grandchildren, Jeremy Johnston, Latham and Landon Meston, and Lily, Jacob, and Jackson Bittner; one sister, Dorothy Ridder of Westmoreland, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services there at 1:30 p.m.. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
