When I think of Aunt Ruth, I think of love. She was a wonderful example of Christ as she put others ahead of herself. She was my youngest brother's kindergarten teacher and leader of Pioneer Girls for my sisters and me. She was a tough taskmaster when it came to job supervision. Let me explain. All of us at Eliada had assignments to do after school and on Saturday. My assignment was to clean the first floor of the Main Building. The hall had tile floors, two sets of stairs, and two restrooms. On Saturdays, Aunt Ruth checked my work with white gloves. I learned how important it was to do a job right the first time...or I could do it again. Even when having me repeat work, she was kind in her firmness. God bless her memory. God grant the family comfort in their loss. Looking forward to joining her in heaven one day.
