Deborah L. Osmanski (Pettit)
Deborah Lynn Osmanski, age 57 of Erie, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at UPMC-Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh after a valiant year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Westfield, NY on November 6, 1956, a daughter of Robert N. Pettit and the late Marjorie J. Cook Pettit.
Debbie was a customer service representative for Parker Hannifin Corporation, formerly known as Snap-Tite, Inc. and Autoclave Engineers. Debbie was a very kind and comforting person. She made friends very easily. She would always find someone to talk to whether standing in line while shopping for clothes or exercising at Best Fitness. She loved to travel and visited much of the world, from Scotland, Ireland, and Europe to Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, and New Zealand. She also enjoyed bowling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially on Friday date night with her husband.
In addition to her father she is survived by her husband of 26 years, James R. Osmanski; their daughters, Kelly C. Chiocco and her husband Anthony of Erie and Julie E. Osmanski of New York City; her brother, Robert A. Pettit and his wife Peggy of Erie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, 16504, on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church.
