Obituary for Thomas "Dave" Leretsis

Thomas "Dave" Leretsis, 80, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Monday July 2, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on August 15, 1937 a son of the late Thomas and Marion Tufts Leretsis.

Dave graduated from East High School and went on to serve in the United States Army and United States Army National Guard. He was owner of Edinboro Services Company and worked in security with Empress Hotel. Most recently he worked in security at the Greater Erie Auto Auction. He was a member of Abiding Hope Lutheran Church and was a former active member of the Edinboro Lions Club where he held many officer positions. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed bowling and collecting hats.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert, and James Leretsis; and three sisters, Barbara Leretsis, Doris Rogalski, and Jean Bitkowski.

Survivors include his wife, Constance Smith Leretsis; two daughters, Erica Grim and her husband, Greg, of Berlin, MD and Elizabeth Little and her husband, Michael, of Cape May, NJ; three grandchildren, William and Mary Little and Kennedy Grim; one brother, John Leretsis and his wife, Sandra, of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a memorial service at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, 2402 W. Grandview Blvd., Erie, 16506.
