Obituary for Edward Zajac

Edward  Zajac
Edward Zajac, age 88 of Wattsburg, went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Olga, and six children, Rhonda Zajac, Edward Zajac (Pam), Janice Zajac (Joe Weithman), Lynn Brumagin (Doug), Keith Zajac (Cindy), and Jeffrey Zajac (Michelle). He is the proud grandfather (Pop) of Meagan (Jesse), Matthew, Julia, Vanessa (Scott), Jared (Taylor), and Jody (Brenda). He will be missed by his great grandchildren Brantley, Jace, Julian, Sydnie, Georgia, Evelyn, Jayden, Jett and great-great grandchild Jonas. Surviving siblings are Stanley Zajac, George (Paul) Zajac, Julia Zienka, and Sophie Kurnava, along with many nieces and nephews.

He is reunited with his granddaughter Aubrey Ann, parents Frank and Mary, and family Frank, Helen, Bertha, John, Joseph, Francis, and Mary and Thomas Farak.

Edward was an Air Force veteran who worked at GE for 42 years. Ed will be remembered by friends and family as hard working and always willing to help others. He enjoyed watching baseball and football (Pirates and Steelers) and spending time with his family. He took pride in tending to his farm and especially the garden.

Visitation will be held at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A prayer service will be held there on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at and proceed to St. Boniface Church for a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to Northeast Hospice or St. Boniface Church.
