Robert A.  Adams
Robert A. Adams, 90, of Erie, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Erie, on January 7, 1927, the son of the late David and Florence Martin Adams.
Robert graduated from Strong Vincent High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as a manager at American Sterilizer for over 32 years. Robert was a member of Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his two sisters, Ethel Pollock and Ruth Fields; and his two brothers, David "Gilbert" Adams and Kenneth Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Rogers Adams; his three children, Robert M. Adams and his wife Peggy of Cambridge Springs, David Adams of Bellingham, Mass., and Leslie Adams, of Erie; two granddaughters, Holly and Michelle Adams; and one sister Madge Bailey and her husband Dick, of Erie.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504, on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of funeral service there at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Great Lakes Hospice -1700 Peach St. #244, Erie, PA 16501 or to the American Red Cross P.O. Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037-0839 for Hurricane Harvey Disaster-Relief Fund.
