Marilyn Ann Swanson, 86, a resident of Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Erie on October 27, 1930 a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Fritz Swanson.

Marilyn was a 1947 graduate of East High School and was an office worker for many years. She was a devoted member of Luther Memorial Church where she volunteered. She also enjoyed volunteering at the refugee center, gardening, visiting the peninsula, being outdoors, and horses.

Friends may call at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m until the time of services there at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
