Larry R. Fox "Butch", 73, of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Friday, July 28, 2017 following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. A resident of Waterford all of his life, he was born on October 24, 1943 a son of the late Clarence D. and Nellie Hess Fox.

Larry graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1961 and went on to work with for the R.M. Kerner Company in Erie. After proudly serving two years in the US Army from December 1965 to December 1967, he returned to R.M. Kerner and continued employment there in machine maintenance until retirement in 2008. Along with his sons, he also raised beef cattle until the fall of 2016. He enjoyed all the chores that went along with raising the cattle and especially enjoyed working with his Oliver Tractor.

Larry loved to hunt and spend time at his hunting camp near the Chapman Dam area in Warren, PA. Larry was always meticulous about mowing his lawn and helping his wife, Rose, with her flower gardens. He loved his Dodge truck which he continuously washed to keep it sparkling clean. He was a member of the American Legion Post 285 in Waterford and a lifelong member of the St. Francis Ushers Club in McKean.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Delbert, Clarence, Jr., Wallace, and Donald Fox.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Rosalyn "Rose" Wisinski Fox; two sons, Shawn R. and his wife, Stephanie, and Shane M. and his wife, Julie, all of Waterford; three grandsons, Austin of Columbus, OH, Skyler and Dylan and one granddaughter, Raeleen, all of Waterford; five brothers, Virgil Fox (Barbara) of Edinboro, Paul (Susie) of Waterford, Richard (Eleanor) of McKean, Robert (Dolores) and Ted Fox of Waterford; two sisters, Betty Showman of Edinboro and Sally Hayes (Lyle "Sonny") of Ashtabula; three sisters in law, Lorraine Fox and Kathleen "Kazzy" Fox, both of Waterford, and Lorraine Vommero (John) of Yorktown, VA; and one brother in law, Daniel Wisinski (Rita) of Ft. Myers, FL. For many reasons, Larry also referred to Larry Robertson (Renee) and Troy Jewell as his other two sons as they were a big part of his life. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Service at All Saints Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Gregory Passauer, Deacon Thomas McAraw, and Deacon William Spinks. Burial with full military honors will follow in Waterford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Stancliff Hose Co., 328 High St., Waterford, PA, 16441 or to the family in care of the funeral home.

The family would also like to thank the Regional Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave Larry and a special "thank you" to Kelly, Ray, and Laura.
