Obituary for Mary J. "Joey" Estes (Proctor)

Mary "Joey" Proctor Estes, 86, of Union City, passed away peacefully on Monday March 13, 2017. She was born in Corry on June 5, 1930 a daughter of the late Harry and Florence McCray Proctor.

Mary graduated from Corry High School and sold Avon cosmetics for many years. She attended Lowville United Methodist and Hatch Hollow Baptist Churches. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nyle "Nick" W. Estes and one grandson, Nicholas Estes.

Survivors include one daughter, Nyla Vogel of Wattsburg; one son, Noel Estes and his wife, Sandra, of Wattsburg; four grandchildren, Brandon Williams and his wife, Maria, Brent Zboyovski, Parlee Ferko and her husband, Joe, and Noelle Estes; one great granddaughter, Sofia Williams; one sister, Barbara Brumagin and her husband, Bernie, of Wattsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services there at 6:00 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Lowville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, 16508 or to a charity of one's choice.
