Joseph J.  Ickiewicz
Joseph J. Ickiewicz, 55, of Greene Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at UPMC Hamot as the result of a house fire. He was born in Erie on December 18, 1960 a son Theresa Lukaszewski Ickiewicz and the late Clemens Ickiewicz.
Joseph was a 1979 graduate of Academy High School and went on to work with Hammermill Paper Co. 23 years and McMillens Towing. Currently, he was working at G.E. Transportation. He was a member of the SONS of Lake Erie and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father in law, Norbert Barthelmes.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Dawn Barthelmes Ickiewicz; one daughter, Erica Lanyon and her husband, Jake, of Erie; one son, Joseph Ickiewicz, Jr. and his wife, Tiffany, of Waterford; four grandchildren, Colton, Wyatt, Ryan, and Samantha; four sisters, Nancy Morocco and her husband, Tom, Susan Rzomp and her husband, Patrick, Joan Hordusky and her husband, Bruce, and Mary Lynn Feldman, all of Erie; his mother in law, Lois Barthelmes of Erie; one sister in law, Stacey Ghita of New Hampshire; one brother in law, Chip Barthelmes and his wife, Susan, of Columbus, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
