Jeremy A. Quezada, 27, died at his home in Boston, Massachusetts on January 13, 2012. He was born on October 16, 1984 in Erie, Pa. He was the beloved son of Julio and Christine Quezada of Erie.
Jeremy took great joy in bringing his love of music to all he met. He began playing guitar with his father at a young age, and they formed local latin jazz band, Mambo. He was known as "Fuego" for his fiery passion on the guitar. He shared his passion for music with his brother Justin.
He was a creative artist and musician. He loved to cook and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, running, and biking. He brought tremendous joy to his family and friends, and will be remembered for his beautiful spirit.
Jeremy attended Saint George School and graduated from Mercyhurst Preparatory School in 2003. Following graduation, Jeremy traveled to Chile to spend time with his extended family there. He then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego, California.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Justin Quezada and his girlfriend Audreydale Arnaldo of San Diego; Scott Quezada and his wife Sarah of Erie; and his sister Jennifer Ongley and husband Pat of Pleasantville; nieces and nephews: Isabella, Ethan, Hazel, and Lane. Maternal grandparents: Katherine Drzewiecki and Andrew Drzewiecki. Paternal grandparents: Julio and Bernarda Quezada. Aunts and uncles: Cheryl and Gerry Kennedy, Terri and Chuck Witherell, Mike and Marcia Drzewiecki, Phil Drzewiecki, Pamela and Wesley Richards, Ricardo Quezada, Luis and Nidia Quezada. Cousins: Jennifer, Nichole, John, Ben, Sara, Alex, Sean, Caleb, Luke, Michael, Robbie, Paul, Danny, Hannah, Jacob, Megan, Amanda, Luchito, Diego, Lisa, Gonzolo, and Matias.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
